I'm soliciting reasons why A.net might not be utilizing the skill categories they've set up a bit more than they are. For example, only Ranger gets any "Preparation" skills, even though the Assassin really could have used some.

Sharpen Daggers - Enchantment Spell
For 10...30 seconds, all of your critical hits cause bleeding for 5...13 seconds.

This seems to me like it'd be better done as a preparation. It really feels like "Apply Poison" in many ways (and great in combination!). I can understand some of the more powerful ones staying enchantments, like Dark Apostacy -- for purposes of enchantment removal nullifying them.

It'd be nice though if some of the categories would be more utilized. Expertise on a R/A wouldn't apply to Sharpen Daggers and many similar skills. I haven't tried, but do an elementalists Elemental Air glyphs apply to Ritualist lightning spells?

Being a R/A myself, and having played ranger more than any other class, I'm glad they made Sharpen Daggers NOT a preparation. Why? You can only have 1 prep up at a time. Also, skills like Barrage remove preps. I agree however that Assassin should have a prep or 3... maybe different types of poison (yes, I know ranger has poison, but that's no reason an assassin couldn't as well). For example, a poison prep that causes a victim to lose 10% attack speed, or one that doubles the cast time of spells.

Hm. I forgot you can only have one prep up at once.
